“Speed Dating” between Information Technology (IT) Companies and

Small and Medium-sized (SME) Travel Agents

NewTrek was invited to participate in a “Speed Dating” campaign on 16th August, 2016 – an event organized by the Travel Industry Council of Hong Kong for SME Travel Agent companies to meet with IT companies that offer solutions specifically developed for the travel industry of Hong Kong.

NewTrek took the opportunity to introduce the proven travel agent solutions we have developed for travel agents in Hong Kong:

• Travel Agents / Travel Related Businesses company website development
• Customer Relationship Management (CRM) – database, sales management, marketing support

More than 50 representatives from over 30 travel agent companies attended the event, in which NewTrek presented and demonstrated its solutions to the attendees. During the course of the event, the organizers also introduced the “Pilot Information Technology Development Matching Fund Scheme for Travel Agents” offered by the HKSAR Government to augment the funding of the SMEs’ acquisition of new IT solutions.

Intense interests on NewTrek’s travel industry system solutions were expressed by participants during the event. Many of them expressed keen interest in upgrading their company websites to v embrace the latest website development, navigation technologies and e-commerce capabilities in order to provide a much improved user experience and an enhanced information searching feature to customers. Other applications such as online marketing, online booking and electronic payment also attracted great interests.
